School Safe Power Balls
My family loves these power balls for breakfast, snacks and even a little lunch time dessert treat. I use them as a way to get good stuff into my kids and to do that I also use chocolate chips. I use to make them with peanut butter but I like Luke to be able to take them to school so I switch that ingredient out for wow butter. I hope your family enjoys these as much as mine does.
Ingredients
Dry
2 cups oats
2/3 cup raisins or chopped dates
1/3 cup hemp hearts
1/3 cup chocolate chips
dash of cinnamon
Wet
1/3 cup coconut oil
1/3 cup honey
1/2 cup wow butter
Method
put all dry ingredients in a bowl and mix
put all wet ingredients in a bowl, microwave for about 30 seconds then combine
add wet ingredients to dry, combine, roll into balls, separate layers using wax paper, store in airtight container in the fridge
A baking tip I learned from my mom. Use a butter knife to scrape out and measure your butters and coconut oil, it’s easier to get an even cup then using a spoon for the task.
