Cooking With Bae Salamati
Last week we got to cook with Roza of Bae Salamati. I had her run a cooking class in my home with my children to help Luke and Lizzy become more familiar with vegetables.
We made a veggie packed red sauce, carrots with a maple cinnamon glaze, black bean brownies and smashed chickpea sandwiches. Luke and Lizzy tried everything we made, even if they did not like the dish, I was proud of them for trying it. There favourite recipe was the black bean brownies, Roza shared that recipe with all of us below.
We all learned a lot as we were cooking. Roza taught the kids about the ingredients we were using and how to wash and cut vegetables. I learned a lot from Roza watching her with my children, she allowed them more freedom in the kitchen than I normally do which I think was more inspiring to them when it came time to try the food. Roza is a light and has a true passion for food, if you need help with meal prep, learning to cook or would like to host a catered dinner in home, she is the woman to call.
