70s Are In The Forecast
I am predicting a strong style influence from the 70s this spring and summer but I think it will have a modern twist with more bold colours. The Pantone Colour Of The Year 2019 is Living Coral which tells us we can expect to see saturated colour everywhere. I love coral and colour makes me happy so I will be embracing all the colours.
My wardrobe is still filled with lots of neutrals but while I hunt for spring florals I am mixing things up with textures and varieties of prints.
I think we will be able to experience 70s vibes with bell bottoms, fringe, bohemian dresses and vintage t-shirts.
I am jumping into the 70s with some new bell bottom jeans and so far I have been pairing them with more fitted tops that tuck in and show off the high waist and flare of the pant. I am 5feet 2inches, so far, after wearing these jeans just a few times, I have received a lot of compliments on them making my legs look longer so maybe the flare is the key to creating the illusion of longer legs for us short girls.
I am on the look out now for more fun 70s styled fashions. Is this a trend you’re excited to play around with or are you happy to leave the 70s in the past?
