Go Sting Go
We have had the pleasure of partnering with the Sarnia Sting for the last two seasons to share our experience at the games.
There is some talk this season about how the Sarnia Sting needs to perform better. I want to talk about how we can perform better as a community to support our local hockey team. Yes, it is fun when our home team wins, but even when they do not win, we can still show up and show our support.
I used to be in musical theatre, within the first few numbers of a show our cast could tell if the audience that evening was an enthusiastic crowd and if they were pumped, then we felt that energy and were able to give them more. I am no hockey expert but I cant help but wonder if that energy exchange between crowd and players is similar.
Here is why my family and I love attending Sarnia Sting home games.
We take pride in our home town team no matter what and love cheering them on.
Sarnia Sting games are an awesome family date night out. We normally enjoy food while we are at the game, dance to the music between whistles, cheer for our team and love running into friends when we take walks around the arena.
We normally attend with some extended family to make it a full fam jam night. This is also great for the kids, it breaks up the game for them being able to sit on aunts and uncles laps or going for a little walk with one of the adults.
Being Sarnia Sting fans helps us to feel connected to our community!
We love to watch the zamboni clean the ice :)
We enjoy hockey. I am personally still learning the sport but watching the games as a family is a great way for myself and the kids to become more familiar with it.
We have not been to the last few home games and the kids are noticing so we are excited for the next game.
Luke and Lizzy are 3 and 5, if you are looking for any specific tips on taking little ones to Sarnia Sting games, just comment below and I will be sure to answer any of your questions. Why do you love to go to Sarnia Sting home games?
